  • End of term message from Mrs Dessent

Fri 31 Mar 2023 Mrs Dessent

    Dear Parents/Carers,
It’s hard to believe we have come to the end of another term and the Easter holidays are upon us. We have had a range of visitors to school and organised some exciting trips. Children have been out in the community, litter picking, visiting the park and the library and thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

It was wonderful to see the three discos going ahead yesterday, organised by our newly formed PTA and assisted by some of the staff.  I want to thank them for their hard work and commitment to school giving up their time for the children and raising £371.26 in the process.  The children all had a great time and it was lovely to see parents attending too.

On behalf of the children, staff and governors I want to thank you all for your continued support of the school.  Our school aims to be at the heart of the community and with this support, I believe we are.  We have wonderful children, fantastic staff and amazing parents and carers who make Llwynypia Primary a school to be proud of, where all individuals are valued and supported.

Don’t forget, we return to school on Monday April 17th.

    S Dessent

    Wed 21 Dec 2022 Mrs L Chinnock

    Dear Parent/Carer,

It is with great pride that I would like to announce that after two years of taking on the role of acting headteacher, Mrs S Dessent has been appointed as the permanent headteacher of Llwynypia primary School. Mrs Dessent has shown great dedication and support to our school and the local community over the last twenty-eight years and we know she will take on this role with great pride and commitment.

As a governing body, we would like to offer her our congratulations and also our continued support as she continues to move our school forward. We know that the children in our community will be given the best education under Mrs Dessent’s leadership and continue to be given the best opportunities to achieve their full potential. The last few years have seen many challenges due to the pandemic but it is a huge positive that we are emerging from this period under steady and experienced leadership and management.

I would also like to thank the governors, staff, parents and most importantly the children.

Thank you for your continued support,

    Mrs A Lewis
