As a school, we have achieved the 'Gwobr Efyd, Bronze Award, Cymraeg Campus Siarter Iaith (Bronze Award, Welsh charter) which is an award system to promote the use of welsh language and schools welsh ethos.
We have worked really hard and completed all ten targets! We are currently working towards achieving the Silver Award. Our Criw Cymraeg are continuing to ensure that the targets on our whole school displays in each hall are updated as we collect evidence for each aspect of the award.
Each class has a new Helpwr Heddiw each day, and it is their responsibility to lead a session based on our ‘Ymadrodd yr wythnos’ or phrase of the week.
There are two members of Criw Cymraeg in every class from Year 2 up and they are always listening to hear children and staff speaking Welsh around our school so that we can reward them with certificates and wristbands during our weekly Welsh assembly. Criw Cymraeg often meet up to work towards our Siarter Iaith targets and help run our weekly Welsh assembly and after school club.
We really enjoy celebrating these achievements. Llongyfarchiadau!
